When you arrive onsite to install a NEW lighting spur and ring main but when we ask where is the consumer unit and we are presented with this …. we condemned the board straight away. Forget that this is not a metal 18th edition compliant unit, it had no front cover, single RCD, exposed live bar and spurs added to rings and about 20years old.
After the client agreed that maybe this unit needed updating we shot to the wholesalers, sourced a new unit and a few hours later we had it installed and signed off.
We all know that Health & Safety has gone too far with some things but this was Dangerous. Another happy customer.
